‘Love is an illusion that occurs when both parties hallucinates at the same time. It does not happen every day.’ an etching, 50 x 80 cm. The original etching was printed in red and is available in an edition of thirteen. The additional prints shown here are unique, one-off variations created through experimentation with colour and viscosity printing—a technique in which the viscosity of the inks is adjusted and layered so the colours remain distinct, creating depth and subtle texture.

This piece explores romantic love in its entirety—the beautiful and the imperfect—through varied compositions of the couple, each telling a different story. The title reflects on the magical, almost surreal nature of love, and invites you to remain open to it, as true love is always worth it.
